Well beyond the need for them to still moor to ground sometimes...you realize there are parts of ships and uniforms still in use in our modern navy that haven't been needed for a century...Navy holds on to tradition more than almost any other organization on the planet. ;-)

I am looking forward to this game I must say. Such a ripe time in history for all sorts of parallel development. The destroyer is only 10 years old, and the battle cruisers are still in the early stages, which the leviathan may render obsolete. The carrier also is born of this time, plus monitors and the like still in use.

A small question though, why to they still carry anchors and mooring davits?

Not for the actual model, no. Not yet. Still working out the details on the miniatures side of things. But as you can tell, I'm all about sharing...so when I've got more, I'll share more.

Thanks!

Thanks for the update, Randall.

Keep'm coming.

Do you by any chance have any completed or in-progress pics of some of the other ships currently being modeled? We are all really excited to see what you have in the works.
